What is my BMI? (body mass index)?

I weigh 155 and i am 5' 6″. Does anybody know how to calculate my BMI with those measurements?

  1. BMI is calculated by taking your weight in lbs and multiplying it by 703
    then you take that number and put it over your hight in inches squared

    (lbsx703)/(hight in inches)

    so 155×703=108965
    108965/(5×12+6)^2 108965/(66)^2 108965/4356=25.0149

    so it is about 25

    * underweight (BMI: below 19.5)
    * normal weight (BMI:18.5 – 24.9)
    * overweight (BMI: 25.0 to 29.9)
    * obese (BMI: 30.0 & above)

    morbidly obese is 40+ in my opinion
